On Friday, December 1st Trinity College’s Department of Theater and Dance is presenting “Embodied Voices: Honoring Judy Dworin” as their Fall Dance production. The program will be held in the Austin Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. and will feature performers from JDPP as well as Trinity College student dancers. This performance will showcase pieces from previous years that continue to inspire us, give voice to those reluctant or not allowed to speak, and educate us about unknown pieces of history that call for us to work together. The diverse selection of dances, through the lens of women, will take us to South America in the 1970’s to current day America, and what life is like for individuals in and out of prison.
Admission to the performance is free, though tickets are required. For tickets and more information, please call the Austin Arts Center Box Office at (860) 297-2199.
