Full works   Time Out! Step into and out of time in Time Out!, a fanciful look at our efforts to control time, only to find our timely devices controlling us. JDPE's highly-acclaimed ensemble introduces the edgy themes it is known for amidst a quirky landscape of characters who appear before time was discovered and transform into our technology-burdened soul mates of today, searching for a minute or two of uninterrupted time, never to be found. Our biological clocks are tickled in Time Out! and humored into a realm where time becomes spatial and new dimensions of ourselves and the world become possible. Time Out! features a commissioned score by musician/composer David Yih.   Starting Over A post 9/11 reflection in dance, text, video & song featuring guest NYC performance artist Michael Burke as JDPE pays homage to a day in time that changed our lives forever.   The Glorious Knot­ Looking through the lens of Tibetan Buddhism, The Glorious Knot presents the dizzying chaotic ignorance of humankind and the journey toward pata - the endless knot, the inter-relatedness of all beings on earth. The evocative cadences of internationally known Tibetan pop star, Dadon create the original music for the piece.   Flying Home Inspired by the African folk story, The People Who Could Fly, Flying Home is a collaboration between JDPP, Sankofa Kuumba Cultural Arts Consortium and Women of the Cross. A powerful and challenging performance piece under the artistic direction of Judy Dworin, it explores issues of racial identity and racism through text, movement, song, drumming, and personal stories.   Ma Drawing upon the images of ancient goddess cultures this piece is an offering to the renewal of the earth. With original music by Tony Steve.   Rains Focusing on the devastating aftermath of Chernobyl, this piece uses personal narrative, visual elements, and movement to challenge the way we look at nuclear "progress".   Tunka A journey seeking transformative worlds, this piece explores birth and death as a continuously regenerating cycle.   Distant Voices Coming Near An evolutionary journey in light, sound, and movement.
